#1 Asus X7400PC Rev 2.2 No power IT5125VG-128 Short

Hi guys, I have this PC that won't turn on. The PC has a short on +3VA_EC, resulting in a short on IT5125VG-128.

I replaced IT5125VG-128, but the PC still won't turn on. The PS_ON_LS signal to enable +3VA_EC is missing.

The PS_ON_LS signal comes from U3201 SLG4E44058VTR, which I can't find any information about.

Thanks for your help.

Measure the voltage on PJP9704 (located near IT5125VG) while the power supply is connected (no battery connected at this stage).

Now, measure the voltages to ground at the points marked below. Same power conditions as before.

Disconnect power, allow 1-2 minutes to discharge the capacitors and measure the resistance to ground on pin 5 of PQ8902. If the resistance is high (in kΩ or MΩ range) connect power supply only and measure the voltage to ground on pins 4, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, 25 and 31 of PU8901 charger (ISL9241HRTZ). Then, connect the battery + power supply and repeat measurements on the same pins of PU8901 as previous.

Replace PU8901 and remeasure the voltages on the same pins (without battery, only power supply connected).

Unfortunately, no. It must be exactly the same chip.

Replaced ISL9241HRTZ, now the voltages, +3VA_EC, AC_BAT_SYS, P_3VADSW_LX_30, P_5VSUS_LX_30, are present, the PC has a consumption of 0.056 amps and the CPU is overheating in the chipset area, I think the CPU is dead.
