Hello

I have just the motherboard from a HP ENVY 17-CR [LA-M058P Rev:1A] laptop. The board is not powering on at all, and is unresponsive to the power button. I do not have a battery to check if it charges or powers on from that.

After inspecting it more closely i can confirm the USB-C PD controller negotiates 20V but this is not getting to the resistor at the PWM IC (ISL9538BH). Further back i tracked 20V to AOZ1380DI but it is not passing through this IC and on to create the main power rail.

With continuity mode i tracked the flow and the power should leave the green dot on picture 1 to the green dot on resistor in picture 2 to power the ISL9538BH i believe?

Both mosfets in picture 1 measure in the M ohms range S-D, around 500K ohms G-D and around 50K ohms S-G.

Not sure where to go next, thanks in advance.

None of the inductors on the board appear to be short.
