Hello Everyone,
As always I look for help from Elvikom (experienced people).
I have Asus laptop with battery power problem.
Mobo: X541UV Rev.2.0.
Laptop is recognising and charging battery as normal but once cable is disconnected battery is not taking over.
When I try to start from battery sometimes I have single short blink of light on power led but goes off.
Most of the times there is no blink at all. Dead laptop without any reaction.
Battery was tested on external analyser and condition is good.
What could be causing problem in battery power circuit ?
I don't see any burns or discolorations on motherboard.

Hello!

Measure the voltages to ground on all pins of battery connector with battery connected only (without power supply), when there is no response to the power button.

Hello Matic,
Thank you for your advice. I have measured all pins with battery only.
Battery Enabled (4th pin) was the problem. Without the screw next to battery connector ground/zero was not present. I did not know this bridge needs screw to make good connection.
Without it battery enabled signal (active when low) was not correct. Lesson was learnt.
