dysk po podłączeniu startuje(bo słychać i czuć jak talerze się rozkręcają) po chwili zatrzymuje się i tak kilka razy, głowica nie stuka, czy są szanse na podniesienie dysku?

Zbyt mało danych. Dobrze byłoby sprawdzić co się dzieje ze strefą serwisową. Możliwe że jest uszkodzona i nie podnosi dysku, skoro piszesz że dysk nie stuka.
Zweryfikuj jeszcze elektronikę, czy nie jest po zalaniu, zaśniedziała, skorodowana itp.
