Hi
i wan't to exchange electronic board , i have buy a new .
Seller says i must swap bios chip (88i8823-TFJ2)
Can i just read and flash with a programmer ?

I have never tried programming bios in hdd. It is best to solder the bios and put in a new board

Hello!

It does not matter if you reflash new BIOS chip with dump from old board, or replace the BIOS chip with the old one.

But on these particular board, the BIOS is programmed in main controller chip (Marvell 88i8823), so you need a programmer which support that chip. You probably doesn't have such programmer, so the only option is to swap the chip with the old one.
