Hello everybody
This laptop come with the bios chip torn off and missing , I repaired the tracks and put a new eeprom with this bios-> lenovo-thinkpad-l460-mb-lcfc-bl460-nm-a651-rev-1-0-uma-version-bios-plus-kbc-t58758.html?hilit=BL460%20NM%20A651
The laptop starts, without display and turns off after 10 seconds.
I noticed a little component unsolder (see photos) can you tell me where it should be located ?
I think it goes near the bios eeprom , I couldn't find any photos of this part to help me.
motherbard is BL460 NMA651 rev1.0

Hello!

At least two components are missing here:

A= Resistor 1kΩ/1%, package 0402 (probably; I'm not 100% sure)
B= Capacitor 100nF/10V, package 0402

Is the component you found a resistor? If so, what's its value?

hello,
you just saw the component found is indeed a resistor of 1Kohm, I soldered the resistance and the capacitor in the place that you indicated ,but the problem is still present after 10S the laptop turns off without display.

I have take some voltage when laptop is on
PL 406 = 0V
PL7 = 1,3v
PL701 = 1v
PL408 = 1,04v
PL403= 0v
PL9= 1,5v

- Which chip exactly did you use for the BIOS?
- Measure the voltages to ground on all pins of BIOS chip, when the machine is turned on.

Do you have an oscilloscope?
If so, measure the voltages to ground on pins 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 of BIOS chip with an oscilloscope immediately after pressing to the power button.

Measure the power consumption (in mA) of the board in the following cases without battery connected:
a) Machine turned off.
b) Machine turned on with RAM memory connected.
c) Machine turned on without RAM memory.
