Jak w temacie. Po podłączeniu zasilacza świeci biała dioda (lub pomarańczowa z podłączoną baterią) ale nie wygląda żeby bateria się ładowała (pobór skacze miedzy 0.003A a 0.040A). Z podpięta klawiaturą wciśnięcie klawisza power sprawia że świeci na nim dioda, pulsuje powoli, ale laptop nie startuje.
Pierwsze co od razu rzuca się w oczy to punktowa deformacja tylnej klapy. Po jej zdjeciu okazało się że jest osmolona, a znajdująca się pod nią cewka PL8200 jest spalona i sie wybrzuszyła o góry. Co ciekawe, po podłączeniu zasilania jest na niej 19.5V, ma ciągłość. I nie ma zwarć nigdzie. Charger lekko świeci pod termowizją ale temp niecałe 30C, więc to chyba ok?
Dodatkowo, w okolicy cewek 3V/5V/Mem PL8600,PL8601,PL8701 zostało wyrwanych kilka elementów (drobnica). Uzupełniłem rezystor PR8616, pojawił sie sygnał EN na PU8601 i napięcie 5V na PL8601.
Sprawdziłem sygnał EN na PU8600 i go tam nie ma. Próbowałem prześledzić gdzie jest problem ale poległem. Brakuje też S5_ON, 3VLDO, 3VLDO_IN oraz 3V_SPI. Jest obecny VAD, 3VSTB, 3VPCU. Trochę utknąłem, nie wiem jak to dalej ugryźć. Będę wdzięczny za wskazówki.

Edit: myślę że uzupełnienie PR8613 (0ohm) rozwiązałoby problem brakującego S5_ON. Ale nie jestem pewien czy ten element został wyrwany, pady wyglądają dobrze.

Zacznij od wymiany WSZYSTKICH skorodowanych elementów. Zaznaczyłem na poniższym zdjęciu na żółto. Elementy w czerwonych ramkach to kondensatory, które do testów nie muszą być zamontowane, choć powinny być uzupełnione po naprawie, natomiast elementy w zielonych ramkach nie są w ogóle montowane.

Na tej cewce powinno być niższe napięcie, ok. 12V. Prawdopodobnie masz do wymiany tranzystory PQ8200 i PQ8201 razem z tą cewką (2,2µH/7x7x3).

Wlutowałem mosfety AON6996 zamiast tych co były i cewkę.
Bez podłączonej baterii napięcie na PL8200 wynosiło dokładnie 1.3V, pobór praktycznie zerowy. Na pinach VIN PQ8201 jest 13V.
Po podłączeniu baterii i zasilacza, początkowo na cewce napięcie ok. 9V, pobór wskoczył na jakieś 0.1A. Ale po chwili wzrósł do 1.45A, i napięcie wzrosło do 10,5V i powoli rośnie. Więc wygląda jakby ładowanie działało. Jedyne co mnie niepokoi to temperatura na rezystorze PR8206, dochodzi do ok. 70C.

I don't see anything suspicious. Resistance around 11k and almost 11V, same as the resistor.

I replaced the missing/corroded capacitors around PU8601/PU8600/PU8700 (as suggested by Vogelek) but nothing has changed, still no 3V. The soldering may not look great but I'm sure it's good and solid. PU8600 does not get EN(pin6) signal, and no VIN on pin7. So the problem is somewhere before. Also no voltages on PU9600.

I also replaced PQ8201 and PQ8200(was shorted) and the burned PL8200. As mentioned in the thread, the charging seems to work, but PR8206 is getting very hot. No shorts there, resistors have correct values. Do you think that charger IC PU8200 can also be faulty? Especially after the short and blown coil?

Measure the voltages to ground on pins 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 31, 32 of charger chip PU8200 with the power supply + battery connected.

If so, also replace the capacitor PC8218 (2.2nF/50V, package 0402) regardless of whether it seems good or not.


Yes, the coil PL8200 is 2R2 and correct size, taken from a donor board.
I have replaced PC8218 and nothing changed. The old one is not shorted and shows correct capacitance.

I have started measuring the voltages but found that pin1 of PU8200 is shorted (around 0.4ohm, after deducting probes). I did a small voltage injection and PU8200 is getting hot, in the corner where pin1 is. I have desoldered the charger and the short is gone (1mohm) on pin1. So I need to get a new ISL9238C. Is there any other chip that could be used instead?

Edit: The desoldered charger is actually ISL9538BH, so different than what the schematic shows.

What should be the correct voltage on coils PL8900, PL8901 and PL9100? When I press the start button, the laptop starts but no picture, power draw is around 1A, 5V and 3.3V present, memory voltage is too low at 0,75V and the coils above all have 1.8V. This seems too high to me.
Do ypu think this is a hardware problem or maybe it needs BIOS/EC reprogrammed?
