Lenovo ThinkPad P53 20QQ (Mobo: FP530 NM-C262 Rev1.0) - Reading EC (NCPX897KA0BX)

Hello Everyone,
I have laptop where I try to read EC chip but keyboard connection is not allowing me to read:

I am looking for help/advise how to read this Nuvoton EC specified for Lenovo ?

Has anyone succeeded to read the chip please ?
Is any resistors adding/moving/removing required in order to read this EC please ?

Hello!

Try to program this KBC chip under the MEC mode of programmer.

Solder the resistor REC10 (1kΩ/5%, package 0402) to the board and connect the programmer to the connector JTAG1:
JTAG1 pin 2= TMS
JTAG1 pin 4= TCLK
JTAG1 pin 6= TDO
JTAG1 pin 8= TDI
Don't forget to connect the ground.

Should I connect to JTAG1 pin 1 RESET line from programmer ?
Is this line not always required for MEC selection ?
I know ground will be connected to JTAG1 pin 3.

Not at all.
JTAG1 pin 1 is intended for injection 3V power supply from the programmer. I suggest you to supply the board with plugging the charger. In this case you don't need pin 1 of JTAG1.

As for the Svod programmer, it usually works without a RESET connection. I've no experience with Vertyanov programmer, but it's probably the same.

I have added resistor REC10 (1kΩ/5%, package 0402) to the board and measured voltages:
JTAG1 pin 2= TMS 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 4= TCLK 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 6= TDO 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 8= TDI 3.3V
After connecting the programmer to the connector JTAG1 as specified:

I did remember to connect ground (2 wires to pin no.3 of JTAG1)
Voltages has changed:
JTAG1 pin 2= TMS 0V
JTAG1 pin 4= TCLK 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 6= TDO 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 8= TDI 3.3V
When I have selected any of MEC profiles connection could not be established and voltages has changed further:
JTAG1 pin 2= TMS 0V
JTAG1 pin 4= TCLK 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 6= TDO 3.3V
JTAG1 pin 8= TDI 0V
All MEC profiles are predefined and I have not got any freedom in custom changes/selections.
I know they still work on Keyboard connector configuration (Nuvoton JTAG) to program this EC but is not ready yet. Should I contact someone from Vertyanov and ask for creating new profile to use JTAG1 connection for programming NPCX897KA0BX ? It looks like they have to add/create new profile in order to establish connection for programming through JTAG1 connector.

Unfortunately, I 've no experience with the Vertyanov programmer and I don't know.
It's probably best to contact someone from Vertyanov and ask for help.
