Recently the laptop of my son stop to work, when i press the power button the laptop power LED light on for few seconds then switch off back, this happen either with charger or battery
this laptop i fixed before. almost a year ago or so , it was water problem, the workshop told me at this time it was shorted, they fix the short. and need to change memory. now because of the lock-down and full curfew in my area i have to fix it by my self.
i did some testing using multi meter, i am able to get 19 volt in different places in the front and the back of the laptop, also i can find 5 volts and 3.3 volts when i press the power button, but this 5 and 3.3 go after few seconds also.
in the front side of the mother , i find 19 folt all the time in the black capacitors indicated with the circle. the red capacitor show 5 and 3.3 volts only when i press power button and it go to zero after few seconds , also i can measure many sort location but i can't tell what is the meaning of that.
In the back of the board i also able to measure 19 volt in many place
the green circles indicate 19 volt and the red circuses indicate zero volt
also i try to inject volt from a stand ATX PSU in the point indicated with blue circle hoping to burn the shorted item. however, this make the cpu and gpu to get hot ( hope i didn't burn anything)
With my limited knowledge and very limited tools i hope to get some help to get this laptop fixed , my son is really sad because of that situation
