Hello!
I'm working on mentioned graphic card. It was previously on another service - I found a flux residues around the GPU and all VRAM chips. I didn't find any other traces of soldering.

When I got the card it was completely dead. I found a burned fuses on 12V power rail and burned one of the power chips IR3553M.
After replacing the burned components and cleaning the flux residues from previous service the card comes to life, I get a picture on the screen, but the card is not detected in "Device Manager".
Picture is present on all outputs (2x HDMI, 2x DisplayPort, and DVI).
I tried with two different motherboards - one Intel and another AMD (both motherboards works ok with another graphic cards). I also tried to change the BIOS switch on the card to another position, but it does not change anything.

Check, what informations are visible in GPU-Z about your graphics card (you can paste screenshot from GPU-Z to your message).
Check ceramic capacitors at back of the card, "under" IR3553M chips.
Check with oscilloscope, if all four phases are working properly.

No visible damage on this capacitors. I don't measure the capacitance.
On all this capacitors are present 12V (main power rail).


All phases seems to work properly - checked with an oscilloscope.

In GPU-Z we can see that card as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Is Microsoft Basic Display Adapter visible in Device Manager? If so, have you tried to manually install official drivers from AMD website for Microsoft Basic Display Adapter?
Capacitors that I mentioned earlier were problematic in those graphics cards, so if you have possibility, change them all even if there are no signs of physical damage.
You wrote that there were the flux residues around GPU and VRAM. Check if GPU is sitting properly on solder balls.

Compare your GPU-Z screenshot with some other RX 480 GPU-Z screenshot, in particular, pay attention to ROPs/TMUs and Shaders. In addition, some information is missing on your screenshot. I think that unfortunately the GPU chip is damaged... but fact, it also may be badly soldered.

You are right, it is my fault .
The card was visible as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter", but it was impossible to install the drivers - it throws an unexpected error.

It is hard to check the solder balls under the BGA without special x-ray machine, so I reballed the GPU chip. The GPU was on lead-free solder balls, so I think it was only reflowed in previous service.
After reball the card is detected as Radeon RX480 and I can install the "Adrenalin 2020" drivers without any issues.

I tested the card under load for a few days and it does not show any issues, so I hope it is a permanent solution.
As suggested, I also replaced all of the ceramic capacitors under the IR3553M chips.

Help "goes to" @xamledyD, because he first mentioned the possible problem with a bad solder joints on the GPU.
