Miałem uszkodzony dysk zewnętrzny. Sklonowałem go posektorowo na inny dysk.
Odpalam DMDE i otwieram partycję. Widzę wszystkie pliki i prawidłową strukturę katalogów jednak gdy chcę zapisać partycję dostaję komunikat: boot sector is not found or incorrect/incompatible. Partition will be detected as not formatted. Oczywiście mogę zgrać wszystko ale to 3Gb danych i wolałbym po prostu odtworzyć partycję. Może ktoś z bardziej doświadczonych kolegów naprowadzi mnie jak to ogarnąć?
Będę wdzięczny za wszelką pomoc.

Na jednym dysku masz zwykły sektor 512b, a na drugim 4K.

Aha :). Czy to oznacza, że jedynym wyjściem jest zgrywanie całości na inny dysk? Czy jakoś mogę temu zaradzić? Trochę tego jeszcze nie rozumiem. :(
Znaczy rozumiem na czym polega wielkość sektora ale nie potrafię jeszcze tego ogarnąć myślowo :(
Czy jak go sklonuję na dysk który ma sektory 4K to rozwiąże problem?

Update:

Teraz sprawdziłem dokładnie. Dysk źródłowy to ST3000DM001. Na stronie producenta znalazłem informację, że dostarczany jest zarówno z sektorem 512 jak i 4K (znaczy 512 emulowane). Natomiast dysk na który go sklonowałem to WD40EFRX . Ze specyfikacji wynika, że dysk ma sektor 4K.
Co więc zrobiłem nie tak?
Będę wdzięczny za wszelkie podpowiedzi.

Adresacja LBN będzie błędna dla różnej wielkości sektora. Jest do tego trochę narzedzi, np. HDclone lub inne. Poczytaj w sieci.
