Acer Aspire 3 A315-42 It does not turn on when opening the screen

Hello everyone!
I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 with an EH5LP LA-H801P motherboard. The power button on the keyboard is damaged. I have 3V on pin 1 of JKB1 (ON/OFFBTN#), but when I press the keyboard, it stays at 3V and doesn't drop to 0V for power-up.
If I manually jumper the power to ground, the laptop powers on without any problems.
I've configured the BIOS so that when I open the screen, the laptop turns on without pressing the power button, but that doesn't work either.
On the main board, I've checked the LID_SW# signal, and when the lid is closed, it's at 0V, and when it's open, it's 3.3V.
I've downloaded and applied a BIOS update, but everything remains the same.

Sometimes the keyboards are just broken and there is not much You can do about it. The repair would mean replacing the keyboard, so it is the best way.

Other option is "creative" repair, where you solder a secondary Power ON microswitch somewhere on the device. But if the Power Button is not working, there could be another problem with this keyboard or it was spilled back in the days. Fully test the keyboard to see if any other buttons do not work.

I am not sure if You can use the LID_SW# signal as a signal to power on - I suppose this signal is for sleep\wake purposes and it is not the same as power button. See if there is an option to turn the device when AC is applied - then it would always power on when connected to AC.

The keyboard works perfectly except for the power button, which is the only key that doesn't respond.
In the end, since I wasn't able to configure the laptop to turn on by opening the screen, and since replacing the keyboard was more expensive for the customer, I adapted a microswitch in the space where the laptop's anti-theft security cable is located.
That way, it can be turned on without any problems, just as if it were the keyboard's power button.
