**************************************************************
Brand: Toshiba
Model: Satellite C55-A-1NR
Motherboard: Pegatron PT10SG DSC, Rev.: 2.1

**************************************************************
Hello!

I'm working on the mentioned laptop.

Symptoms:
-Immediately when connecting the charger, power LED turns ON, fan spins on max speed, no video.
-Power button doesn't react, also if it is pressed for multiple seconds, the laptop doesn't turns OFF.
-Battery isn't charging.
-If only the battery is connected the laptop is completely dead (I suspect that the battery is completely discharged).

3.3V and 5V power supplies are present. Other "RUN" voltages are also present on all other coils, except the one near GPU (no component designations on white "silkscreen").
RTC quartz (32.768kHz) near PCH oscillates. PCH gets pretty warm (about 70°C), CPU and GPU are only a little bit warm.
Issue is the same, regardless of whether the RAM memory is inserted or not.

What I have done up to now:
-On CMOS battery was only 2.8V, I replaced it with brand new one -> no changes.
-BIOS chips (MAIN+EC) reflashed with two dumps -> no changes.
-KBC chip (IT8528E) replaced with brand new one -> no changes.

Any ideas?

I think PCH is too hot may be demadge.

Thanks for reply!
I think that, the PCH chip should not run in standby mode (except the RTC part), so it should not be hot in standby. If I'm not mistaken, the issue should be somewhere around KBC chip, or am I wrong?

Measurements on KBC chip (schematic part at the attachment):
Pin 3 (+3VA_EC) -> 3.3V
Pin 74 (+3VACC) -> 3.3V
Pin 11 (+3VS) -> 3.3V
Pin 4 (RCIN#) -> 3.3V
Pin 12 (VCORE) -> 1.8V

Pin 125 (PWR_SW#_M) -> Power button released: 3.3V / pressed: 0V
Pin 87 (PM_PWRBTN#) -> Power button released: 3.3V / pressed: 3.3V
Pin 112 (PM_RSMRST#) -> Before pressing on the power button: 3.3V / after: 3.3V
Pin 18 (PM_SUSB#) -> Before pressing on the power button: 0V / after: 0V
Pin 21 (PM_SUSC#) -> Before pressing on the power button: 0V / after: 0V
Pin 19 (VSUS_ON) -> Before pressing on the power button: 3.3V / after: 3.3V

If I'm not mistaken, signal "PM_PWRBTN#" should drop to 0V, when the power button is pressed, and signal "PM_RSMRST#" as well.
In addition, I think that the signal "VSUS_ON" should be on 0V, if pressing on the power button is not detected.

Could that be caused by bad PCH chip?

PCH does not communicate with KBC.
Replace PCH.
